TimberTech decking is a composite material made of wood particles and high-density polyethylene, with added compounds to resist rot, mold and scratching. Plastic capped composites are being made by all the major manufacturers now and it seems to be the way of the future, it is a little more expensive but the added scratch resistance, fade resistance, and stain resistance is well worth it. There are three decking collections to choose from with Vintage, Arbor, and Harvest along with a collection of Porch boards available in 13 different colors. I can also say that as always, we do also recommend AZEK for the customer who wants a PVC deck. They are also well aware that if anything like that were to happen again they would be toast as a company. Since we don’t use Timbertech composite any more, I cannot comment on the current quality of the product, I can only say that I am happy with everything Trex.
